Hillyard House Hotel also offers family rooms and kids' meals.

Pros

Views of the Mourne Mountains from select rooms

Unique Himalayan salt aging chamber for meat in the restaurant

After-hours cocktail services and diverse beverage options

Onsite bike rental and adventure packages available

Regular community events and engagement opportunities

Cons

No dedicated on-site parking; free street parking is available but can be limited during busy periods

Rooms facing the main square may experience street noise, especially on weekend evenings

“What strikes me is the genuine warmth of the staff, coupled with rooms that manage to feel both comfortably appointed and thoughtfully decorated, especially the walk-in showers. The hotel's placement at the edge of the forest park is a true asset, leading to a dining experience where the quality of the food, from the ambitious breakfast choices to the refined dinner, punches well above its weight for the value.”
